Submission Rules

:star::star::star::star::star::star:

SUBMISSIONS

:star::star::star::star::star::star:

:bulletpink: You can only submit one (1) deviation per month.

:bulletpink: Only photos which were taken with CANON cameras will be allowed into our gallery.
Exif/Camera data must be shown on the page. EXIF written at the Artists Comment (info) does not count. If you look at our blog there is a 'how to' for photographers to add exif data.

:bulletpink: Please submit deviations to the correct gallery.

:bulletpink: We are now accepting only the best Canon works out there.

:bulletpink: Must be stunningly captured and edited (but not overly photoshopped- no photo manipulations).

:bulletpink: No snapshots.

:bulletpink: Must be sharp unless the blur is obviously artistic.

:bulletpink: Must have a strong composition.

:bulletpink: Images may be declined for being dull or ordinary.

:bulletpink: Must be at least 400px on the shortest side (we will not accept tiny photos)

:bulletpink: We will decline if we think the water mark is annoying.

:bulletpink: If your image is declined, DO NOT resubmit that image unless asked to by a moderator. The only exception is if you submitted to the wrong category.

:bulletpink:If you want to know why your image was declined, please post a comment on the submission process that appears in your inbox after submitting. Decline requests made anywhere else will not be answered.

:bulletpink: Please DO NOT complain about our rules.

Well, considering I just randomly clicked on three of your images and none of them were from a Canon camera, that might be why... <3

Are HDR photos acceptable submissions?

I believe they are, as long as it is not to obvious a manipulation. If you manage to create your HDR picture subtly enough, it should be acceptable.

If the HDR effect is subtle then yes, you can try :)
It should not look overmanipulated.

Hi! This must come from the software you are using to edit RAW files. You should be able to change parameters in order to keep EXIF data always visible when exporting into JPG.

I use a raw plugin on photoshop because its just easier that way to bring it into photoshop, should I be using lightroom or something like that then?

I prefer exporting to png as JPEG compresses the image too much and messes with straight lines in the image, I would use TIFF but deviantart doesn't allow it

I use both, and maybe it has something to do with the PNG. Concerning JPG, PS allows you to export from a RAW file in jpeg at 120% quality, and I can guarantee you it doesn't mess with anything at that level.
